AG James delivering up to $1.5 billion across NYS to combat the opioid crisis
(WENY) -- New York Attorney General Letitia James is delivering up to $1.5 billion throughout the Empire State in an effort to combat the opioid crisis.
According to the AG's website, Monday she began her HealNY tour of New York State.
The funds going to all ten regions of the state come from different settlements she's negotiated after a lawsuit in March of 2019.
This is when various manufacturers were held responsible for perpetuating the crisis.
Here's a breakdown of the amount of money going to our viewing area:
Chemung County: $1,035,575.69 – $1,809,163.01
Schuyler County: $175,055.09 – $305,823.32
Steuben County: $955,885.44 – $1,669,943.21
Tioga County: $455,900.74 – $796,464.00
Tompkins County: $989,886.25 – $1,729,343.04
