ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Two more men have been indicted by a Grand Jury in connection to the torture-murder case of Juan Jose Gotay.

According to the Chemung County District Attorney's Office, 25-year-old Eddie Marte from New York City and 18-year-old Malik Weems of Pittsburgh, PA, were both involved in the torture and murder of 38-year-old Juan Jose Gotay.

As WENY News reported last week, 25-year-old Thomas Bovaird of Elmira was arrested in connection with Gotay's kidnapping and murder.

(WARNING: Some of the details in this case are extremely disturbing and graphic in nature)

According to the indictment, Weems and Marte, in concert with Bovaird, abducted Gotay in January, tortured him by shooting the victim in the left shoulder and left leg, repeatedly kicked and hit the victim in the face and body causing traumatic injuries to Gotay's head (including jaw, mouth, and teeth), caused multiple broken ribs and fingers, mutilated the victim's eyes and tongue, burned parts of his body, and bound Gotay with an electric cord.

Then, according the indictment, Gotay was driven to a remote area in Pennsylvania where he was left to die.

Marte and Weems have been at the Ontario County Jail since April of this year, according to jail records.

The two men are also indicted for allegedly kidnapping another man for a period of more than twelve hours with the intent to terrorize the individual. It is not clear if the other man is connected to the torture and murder of Juan Jose Gotay.

WENY News will continue to follow this story and bring you any further updates as more information is released.
