9PM UPDATE: The Superintendent of Jasper-Troupsburg Central School District posted to the district Facebook page Friday evening that the decision was made to relocate the high school to Greenwood, in the Canisteo-Greenwood Central School District.

J-T Superintendent Leanne Jordan said the decision was made after meeting the C-G Superintendent Tom Crook, the J-T school board, school administration, and Steuben County manager Jack Wheeler.

In a statement posted to the district Facebook page, Superintendent Jordan said "I honestly do not know where to begin with thanking the Canisteo-Greenwood Central School District. The generosity that they have shown to us, in addition to their genuine concern really shows that they are a class act. We are hoping to hold a day where the CG and JT communities can assist with cleaning and putting the final touches on the move into the building, so please be on the lookout for more information."

Over the weekend, the high school will begin to be staged for cleanup and sanitizing, which is expected to take about four weeks.
