IPD seeking witnesses after narrowing down window of July 20th homicide

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Ithaca Police Department is continuing to actively investigate the July 20th homicide and now are seeking input from people who may have been in the area after narrowing down the timeline of when it occurred.
According to IPD, investigators believe several cars and pedestrians were in, or passed through, the area of Buffalo Street and Taughannock Boulevard between 12:40 - 12:45 a.m.
As WENY News reported, 32-year-old Alan Godfrey was fatally shot in the early morning hours of July 20th near the Buffalo Street Dandy Mini Mart.
IPD is now asking anyone who may have been in the area at the narrowed-down window to please contact the IPD Investigations Division via any of the below methods.
