After a few beautiful afternoons with highs well above average, cooler weather will make another appearance for us locally in the Twin Tiers. A cold front, that brings us heavy rain early Wednesday, will swing through early Wednesday morning and knock our temperatures into the low 50s and upper 40s by the later afternoon hours tomorrow.  It will come with drier conditions for Thursday, but cooler temperatures compared to this afternoon as we will see highs drop into the upper 50s. We turn even cooler from there. Highs on Friday will struggle to get near 50 degrees, and many of us will remain in the upper 40s under mainly cloudy skies. We will try to warm up this weekend, but an upper level low will keep the cooler air locked in place across the Twin Tiers and highs will barely make it to the upper 50s during the afternoon. Uncertainty still remains for this weekend in regards to high temperatures. Some model guidance has shown a lot of cloud cover which keeps our afternoon highs in the 40s, while other guidance is in the low 60s. Details we be ironed out, but the pattern is favoring cooler weather for us locally through Mother's Day Weekend.
