CORNING, NY (WENY) - ESPN sportscaster Chris Berman said nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills. One group of Bills Mafia members from Corning and Painted Post, they circle the Bills Bus.

Jim Sonner, Sue Sonner, Pauline Twist, Bruce Twist, Thom Marshall, Mark Cocher and Jackie Kocher are lifelong Bills fans, and lifelong friends. Jim Sonner says, "We're all family and friends. Most of us went to high school together and we've known each other for 30 plus years. We've all had tickets to Buffalo for, oh gosh, some of us as long as 21 or 22 years."

In 2012, after years of going to Bills games together, it dawned on the group that maybe they could ride to the games in a little more style. Jim Sonner says, "I was actually on vacation in Las Vegas. Bruce and Pauline called and said, 'Hey I can get a bus for $2,200!"

It didn't come with any of the bells and whistles. Jim Sonner says, "This was pretty rough when we got it. It had the old bench style seating. We tore those out, put the pontoon seats in."

It was no overnight transformation. Sonner says, "It probably took a good few months to get it in the initial condition and then each year we try to come up with a different idea so we put the speakers in, we put the television in."

Fans at the tailgate take notice. Jackie Kocher says fans ask, "Can we come on the bus? Can we check out your bus? So of course you say sure come on in and they all love it."

They don't mind a bit. Thom Marshall says, "The people are like family and you know them all and there were kids, now they're adults."

The bus isn't just decked out on the inside. The outside features signatures from bills legends such as Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, and James Lofton. Sue Sonner says, "It's just awesome that the players give us so much credit and love us and we love them."

Who's the dream signature now? Pauline Twist says, "Josh Allen!"

In a normal year, the bus would leave at 5:30 am, collecting group members along their way, tailgating by 8:00 AM. When returning home from a big win, the Bills Bus will make some noise, and people take notice. Jackie Kocher says, "We have been noted to go up and down Market Street after a good win, hanging out the windows. People do react very good to that."

Now with no fans until the playoffs at Bills stadium, the Bills Bus crew has had to watch the games, like everyone else, from their homes. Jim Sonner says, "We do still get together at each other's house. it's still all about the camaraderie, watching the game, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills."

What would winning it all mean to the Bills Bus crew?  Sue Sonner says "Oh my god I'll be crying for days!"

Jim Sonner adds, "We've been waiting a lot of years for that."
