Local county commissioner shares experience at Trump rally

BRADFORD COUNTY, PA (WENY) -- Some residents in the Northern Tier, including a county commissioner attended Wednesday's rally in Washington D.C.
Bradford County Commissioner Doug McLinko says he and other residents from both Bradford and Tioga Counties traveled to D.C. for President Trump's rally on Wednesday. McLinko tells WENY News, overall he had a great time, despite the events that happened after the President was done speaking. He says he went down to see President Trump speak and many of the people he saw were very happy and upbeat.
"This is bigger than one person. We didn't go down to look for an overturn of the election. We went down to have the integrity of our votes looked at, that's why we went. We wanted to make sure that we have confidence in our elections like we do here in Bradford County," said McLinko.
McLinko says he did not witness any violence when he was there, but says he did not participate in the walk down to the Capitol or personally witness the violence that transpired.
"I think there were 20 buses that went out of Bradford County and Tioga County yesterday, 20. All patriots, all peace loving, all for the same reason, not for that," said McLinko.
McLinko says he does not condone the violence, and those who took part should be arrested.
