NASHVILLE, TN (WENY) -- Law enforcement is giving an update on a nine year old missing person cold case out of Steuben County.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has produced a video on the investigation into the disappearance of Nieko Lisi of Addison. Nieko left his home in Steuben County in September of 2011, when he was 18 years old. He was later traced to Tennessee, but hasn't been seen since. Nieko had ties to Tennessee, having previously lived in the state.

In 2016, investigators discovered a truck Nieko had been driving, stripped to the frame and hidden in a garage in Nashville. In the TBI video, released on Facebook, special agents say they are looking for anyone who might know anything about that truck or property where it was found.

Late last year, Nieko's mother, Monica Button, traveled to Tennessee late last year, and also worked to spread his story through a Facebook Watch series called "Vanished: The Missing Persons Project."

"My goal is to find someone that will help our family put some pressure on the TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation) in Tennessee and have someone actually physically go out and look for my son," Button told WENY News in December of 2019.
