Two arrested in Bath after multi-agency narcotics investigation

BATH, N.Y. (WENY) – Police arrested two people following a multi-agency investigation into the alleged sale of narcotics in Steuben County.
On September 4, deputies arrested 28-year-old Christine Stevens and 40-year-old Jose Velez, both of Bath.
Stevens was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Velez was charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. All charges are felonies; both Stevens and Velez were held, arraigned and then released.
According to Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard, the arrests were the result of a coordinated effort between the Steuben County Sheriff's Office, the Village of Bath and City of Corning Police Departments.
