Seneca Lake Wine Trail prepares for fall with Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Seneca Lake Wine Trail is partnering with one local hotel to bring new excitement to a fall stay in the Finger Lakes Region.
Through September and October, the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel is running a special on a weeknight stay. Those who book a stay during the week -- checking in or checking out any time Sundays through Fridays -- will receive discounted rates. In addition, guests will be given a VIP Tasting Pass to 17 Seneca Lake wineries at check-in.
"They're open for business, and even if you're not going to come in and use that pass, we encourage you to come and visit our wineries," Seneca Lake Wine Trail Executive Director Brittany Gibson said. "We are hearing overwhelmingly positive feedback from visitors. You come in, you're escorted to a seat, you typically would have a flight, and you can sit and hang out."
The Seneca Lake Wine Trail was recently named a Trip Advisor 2020 Travelers' Choice Winner, putting it among the top 10 percent of businesses on Trip Advisor worldwide.
Gibson says the member wineries will continue to adapt as new changes and guidance comes about from New York State officials amid the coronavirus pandemic.
