Ithaca Protesters Clash With IPD

ITHACA,N.Y(WENY)-- Since Yasmin Rashid took over as the leader of the protests last week there has been conflict over how inclusive the group was in the past and she says that she believes there are many different groups struggling in the community but this needs to remain about Black Lives Matter.
The protesters took to the streets where they clashed with the Ithaca Police force. The police and the protesters were blocking traffic for almost an hour and eventually the police had to pack up their things and leave; the protesters soon followed. These protests will continue to take place every Sunday on the Commons.
I also reached out to the IPD for a comment and have not gotten a response.
