Food Bank of the Southern Tier wraps first virtual Tour de Keuka

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Food Bank of the Southern Tier has wrapped its annual charity bike ride, Tour de Keuka, held virtually for the first time amid the pandemic.
In 2020, the community was challenged to set a goal to ride, run, or walk any distance, while raising funds for neighbors in need.
Traditionally, over 200 participants begin the ride in Hammondsport and travel around Keuka Lake. But this year, Food Bank Community Engagement Manager Katherine Strawser says there were about 75 participants.
So far, Strawser says the support of the community has helped raised funds for over 120,000 meals.
According to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, one in eight people in Southern Tier struggles with hunger.
Funds are being collected for Tour de Keuka through August 14. Click here to donate.
