Sarah Horbacewicz wears many hats at WENY News and became the anchor and producer of Good Morning Twin Tiers Weekend and a weekday Multimedia Journalist in October. She also hosts a Weekend Wrap Up digital segment.

Sarah joined the WENY News team as a freelance MMJ in March 2020 and became a full time Ithaca Bureau reporter in June after graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in Television-Radio and minors in Politics and Spanish. Sarah studied on a full scholarship to the Roy H. Park School of Communications as a Park Scholar through her work in communications and community service.

She first found her love of journalism as a TIME For Kids reporter in 2009 when she interviewed Justin Bieber. She continued her journalistic passion through multiple internships at CBS News where she built her seemingly opposing loves for features and politics.

Through her internships she worked closely with Steve Hartman for the On The Road segments and with the network's DC bureau to cover Capitol Hill during Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings and the 2018 midterm elections. She continued her passion in the political sphere as a runner for CNN Politics during the 2020 Iowa Caucuses

Sarah also spent time in Pyeongchang, Korea during the 2018 Winter Olympics working for NBC Sports and in her free time there would sneak off to watch figure skating events!

Having served as News Director for Ithaca College Television, she is excited to continue covering the surrounding areas she's called home for the last few years. At WENY, Sarah announced Joe Biden's presidential win on GMTTW, continues live coverage of Black Lives Matter and racial equality protests, and reports on the coronavirus pandemic's impact on every facet of life. More of her work can be found on her website.
