CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) – This week's adoptable pet with the Chemung County SPCA is Remy. She is a one-year-old lab mix. Arynn Brucie with the SPCA says Remy is shy is particular. Brucie goes onto say Remy is not a fan of cats or female dogs, however, she does get along with male dogs. Remy would be best to go home with kids 10 and older, according to Brucie.

The spay neuter clinic is coming along. Everything is on hold right now due to the coronavirus pandemic. Brucie says the shelter is excited to use it once the coronavirus crisis is over. The shelter will use the clinic to host clinic and possibly events as well.

The SPCA is taking proper precautions due to the coronavirus. Brucie says the shelter is not open for their regular business hours right now. Everything is currently by appointment. The pet food pantry is still available to serve those struggling with pet essentials right now. There are also virtual meet and greets. People can meet cats and dogs on Zoom or FaceTime.
