ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) – The Ithaca City School District is working to support travel and social distancing restrictions beginning this week.

On Tuesday, the district will move to only home delivery for school meals. Pick up locations will not be in operation. Staff members with the school district will be at the sites on Monday to provide food and assist people who have not received notice of this change.

School meals are free for all students. Family members with the district can arrange a delivery by completing the delivery request form.

Families are asked to complete one form per week for all children in the house. You are also asked to submit your form at least 24 hours before you want the food delivered. If you do not have internet access, you are asked to call 211. The call center is available 24/7.

All meals will be delivered to homes and left outside. Families are asked to not meet the delivery person at the door.
