CORNING, NY (WENY) -- This Week in Wine Country, sponsored by Finger Lakes Wine Country, we're learning about the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.

Located on Market Street in Corning, the Arts Council aims to grow public awareness about the arts, advocate for arts education, increase arts programming and opportunities for the region, and serve the public through the regional arts calendar.

The council has over 300 artist members, and hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
