Update: Bath auto shop fire determined to be accidental

3/4/20 UPDATE (WENY) -- Fire officials have determined the cause of Monday's fire at the auto body to be accidental. According to the Bath Volunteer Fire Department, the blaze at David Havens Alignment & Auto Service on County Route 10 happened after the shop owner had taken ashes from his woodstove and put them in a metal barrel. The strong winds that morning reportedly blew some embers into a box next to the shed which ignited the blaze.
