Horse found 'hoofing it' in Steuben County

CANISTEO, N.Y. (WENY) – One New York State Trooper was faced with an unusual standoff in Steuben County recently.
The trooper was called out to Canisteo for reports of a horse in the road. The horse was found, but didn't seem bothered by the trooper's presence.
“Our trooper tried to lure him home with alfalfa, but he was more interested in licking the salt off our patrol car,” said New York State Police in a Facebook post.
