UPDATE: Horseheads swim coach arrested, charged with allegedly providing alcohol to a minor

UPDATE (1:30 p.m.) According to the Horseheads Police Department, Miles was arrested and charged with one count of Unlawfully Dealing with a Child for allegedly providing alcohol to someone younger than 21-years-old.
Miles was arraigned in Horseheads Village Court, released and scheduled to reappear on February 12.
HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) – The Horseheads High School swim coach, Mark Miles, has been suspended by USA Swimming for “allegations of misconduct”.
Miles is listed on USA Swimming's list of suspensions, with his interim suspension effective as on January 29. According to USA Swimming, Miles is accused of violating rule 304.3.14 of the Code of Conduct, which is listed as a violation of the U.S. SafeSport Code. USA Swimming tells WENY News such suspensions are handed down from the U.S. Center for SafeSport.
The Center for SafeSport's website also listed Miles' suspension and also said a no-contact directive has been issued.
According to the website, the Center for SafeSport is a non-profit organization "focused on ending all forms of abuse in sport".
The Horseheads Central School District confirmed to WENY News Miles no longer works for the district, saying in a statement:
Mr. Miles is no longer employed by the Horseheads Central School District. As this is a personnel matter, we cannot comment further. Any further questions should be directed to the Horseheads Police Department.
Furthermore, Horseheads Police Chief Tom Stickler has confirmed to WENY News that an open investigation is underway and more details will be released at a later time.
