HECTOR, N.Y. (WENY) - The Hector Fair will be returning in 2020. According to our media partner, the Star Gazette, the 'Valois-Logan-Hector Fire Department heard an outpouring of support from its community.'

Firefighters were about to end this annual event, however new dates have recently been set. The fair will run from July 23rd to 25th this year.

This change follows a quote "well-attended, energetic meeting." community volunteers agreed to participate in organize and staff the fair this year.

The fair has been around for more than 60 years, offering everything you could imagine, from rides to displays, a parade to fireworks and even musical entertainment. This annual event is planned as a fundraiser for the fire department. Although, income has gone down in recent years.
