Elmira man arrested for robbery, police recover BB gun
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- An Elmira man is behind bars after police say he robbed a woman at gunpoint on Monday.
The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Christopher Williams. Police say the woman met Williams at Hathorn Court on Davis Street around 11:30 a.m., so she could sell her Apple TV.
The woman told police that she handed Williams the Apple TV so he could inspect it, and then Williams told her to "shut up", and he pulled a gun from his waistband.
Officers say they later identified Williams as the suspect after recovering both the Apple TV and a black BB gun.
Williams was sent to jail, and he was charged with robbery. Police say he is a parolee.
