Dick's Sporting Goods to sell eight Field & Stream stores, including Big Flats location

(WENY) -- Dick's Sporting Goods is selling eight Field & Stream stores, including the Big Flats location, according to paperwork filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The sale is expected to close October 11, the Star Gazette reports.
The stores will be bought up by Sportsman's Warehouse for $28 million.
"This acquisition is consistent with Sportsman's strategy to return to a more typical store growth pattern, following a period of investment in omni-channel capabilities, technology, and debt reduction over the last two years," Sportsman's Warehouse said in a release.
Dick's has not said why it is selling the eight stores, but Sportsman's Warehouse CEO Jon Barker says this is "an opportunistic expansion."
