Three men arrested in connection with investigation into sale of cocaine in Elmira
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Two men with previous convictions may soon be in court again.
The Elmira Police Department arrested Darrell L. Davis, 45, yesterday for one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, but more charges are pending.
The arrest is the result of an investigation involving the sale of cocaine in Elmira, during which a loaded handgun, cocaine, heroin, meth, and narcotics paraphernalia and packaging material were found.
Just before the execution of the warrant, two men associated with Davis were stopped driving away from the residence.
According to police, the 23-year-old driver, Ray-Shawn Brooks, has suspended driving privileges and was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree.
Jermaine A. Brown, 46, was also arrested, in possession of over 11 ounces of cocaine. He faces on count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree.
Both Davis and Brown have been previously convicted on drug charges.
Police say further arrests may be pending.
