Gov. Andrew Cuomo announces initiative to add millions of oysters to New York waterways

New York (WENY) - Governor Andrew Cuomo is in talks about restoring aquatic habitats around New York. He says it will be a multi-million dollar project.
Cuomo made the announcement yesterday. This announcement comes after officials released thousand of shellfish into Hudson River Park in the city.
Cuomo says the "Revive Mother Nature" initiative is the most aggressive initiative in the country. He goes onto say it will help reintroduce millions of oysters into the waterways in New York City.
The governor estimates this project will cost roughly $2.8 million. He hopes to restore marine habitat for 5 to 10 million oysters.
Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hocul commented on the move, saying this project is an effort to fight climate change.
