Spencer man arrested on drug and gun charges
NICHOLS, N.Y. (WENY) -- A Spencer man was arrested on drug and gun charges after police said they found a stolen handgun and drugs in his car.
61-year-old Chuck Weigand is facing a slew of charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, and possession of stolen property. Police say they made the discovery when they pulled him over early Wednesday morning in the Town of Nichols.
Afterwards, police got a search warrant for his home, and they say they found suspected crystal meth, hydrocodone, a digital scale, a loaded handgun, and brass knuckles.
Weigand was sent to the Tioga County Jail without bail.
