Heavy Rain Possible This Week
After a gorgeous weekend we will be turning our attention towards rain as we get into the work week. On Tuesday, we could be looking at some heavy rain entering the region with the chance of some flooding. Right now, the Weather Prediction Center has the area in a slight risk for excessive rainfall on Tuesday. This could be upgraded as we head into Tuesday, but models are still in disagreement.
The GFS model has the heaviest of rain right over our region, but the Euro has the heaviest to the south. The track of this system will have a major impact on the amount of rain the region sees. More of a southerly track will mean the heaviest falling to our south, but a northern track will mean the heaviest will take aim at our region. Make sure you stay with us as we keep you updated as more information comes in.
