Falck Cancer Center Receives $40,000 Check From Paint The Night Pink Gala
ELMIRA, N.Y (WENY) – Earlier this month, hundreds of people showed their support for the Falck Cancer Center at Arnot Ogden and its patients by painting the night pink.
The 4th annual Paint the Night Pink Gala raised $40,000, nearly doubling its total from last year. Friday afternoon, Founder of Paint the Night Pink Gala, Alisa Troccia along with committee members presented a $40,000 check to the Falck Cancer Center.
The annual gala raises money for the Cancer Center's patient services fund, offering financial help to families spending their days undergoing treatment and therapy who may have an expense come up that their insurance doesn't cover.
“My mom was the inspiration behind the very first event four years ago because she actually went through treatment here at the Falck Center. We loved the team and the staff, they pulled her through and she's a survivor and we wanted to give back, not only the staff for the amazing job that they do, the treatment and the level of care here but also to kind of help the patients.
Collectively over the past 4 years the event has raised a little over $92,000.
