ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Women's March Elmira is happening this weekend. The march, meant to inspire action for positive change in women's lives, will happen on Sunday, January 27th at Wisner Park in downtown Elmira. All are welcome. 

Speakers will take to the podium beginning at 1:00 p.m., on topics ranging from civil engagement to cultural identity. Speakers include Leslie Danks Burke, Randi Hewitt and Peg Costello among others. 

The .8 mile walk will move up North Main Street and Park Place to Elmira College's Cowles Hall. Once there, Martha Easton of EC's Sociology Dept., will speak on the history of Elmira College. 

Local non-profit organizations that provide services to women will also be present at Cowles Hall with information including Family Services, Catholic Charities, Planned Parenthood and more.
