Endicott man arrested for attempted murder following investigation
ENDICOTT (WBNG) -- The Endicott Police Department says a 31-year-old Endicott man has been arrested for attempted murder Sunday.
Authorities say Charles F. Brown, AKA Fly Brown was arrested after an investigation into a domestic incident on the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue in the Village of Endicott.
In a news release, it says the incident occurred in the early morning hours of January 19, 2019. They say the Brown fired a handgun at two victims. They say neither of the victims were injured and police asked the public for help locating Brown.
Police say the investigation led police to 22 Lincoln Avenue where Brown was located and taken into custody.
The arrest was conducted by the joint Broome-Endicott SWAT team, with assistance provided by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.
According to police, Brown has been charged with one count of attempted murder in the 2nd degree.
He is being held at the Endicott Police Lock-Up pending arraignment at the Broome County Arraignment Part Court.
The investigation is ongoing and police say further charges are pending.
