Corning Police Arrest Two for Allegedly Possessing, Making Meth

CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) – Corning Police have arrested two people for allegedly possessing meth following an investigation into a reported burglary.
According to police, on Thursday, September 13 at approximately 10:45 in the evening, officers of the Corning Police Department responded to a home on East Fourth Street for a reported burglary in process.
Upon investigating the scene, officers located two people hiding in the attic of the home. The investigation also revealed both occupants had license and privilege to be in the home; however, while conducting a search of the home, officers found numerous items used in the manufacture of meth.
As a result of the items being found, both occupants were arrested by Corning Police.
They have been identified as Julie Sweeney, 43, and Brodie Pierson, 21. They were both charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Meth in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of Meth Manufacturing Material in the Second Degree.
Both have been sent to the Steuben County Jail on $20,000 cash bail.
