Finger Lakes LLC owner, head of Horseheads hotel construction project arrested for issuing bad check
HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) – The owner of Finger Lakes LLC has been arrested due to allegedly issuing a bad check during the course of a construction project on a hotel near the intersection of Westinghouse Road and County Route 64 in Horseheads.
In October 2017, the Chemung County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division initiated an investigation into a bad check issued to a local contractor in an amount exceeding $350,000.
The owner, 58-year-old Tom Shen, was arrested on July 13 after the nine-month investigation.
He was indicted by a Chemung County Grand Jury on charges of Grand Larceny and Issuing a Bad Check.
Shen is being held in the Chemung County Jail pending arraignment in the Chemung County Court.
