Tony Chiavaroli
Tony joined the WENY First Warning Weather team in January 2018 after graduating from Penn State University a month prior in December. With a B.S. in meteorology and atmospheric science in hand, he found his way here to the Twin Tiers, and has taken a liking to his new home!
Hailing from an all PSU Alumni family in the small town of Elysburg, PA, he grew up living the small town lifestyle and enjoying the 4 seasons that rural NE Pennsylvania has to offer. His biggest weather passion from a young age was anything related to snow and how it was formed. This led him towards his path of learning more and more about the atmosphere and formulating the goal of becoming a meteorologist.
In his spare time Tony enjoys outdoor activities from hiking to fishing to pick up sports. He also enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and attending sporting events. He is not shy about his love for Penn State Football and all Philly sports teams.
Tony was a part of the 2016-2017 WxChallenge National Championship Team for PSU, and even earned an individual forecasting trophy towards the end of the season.
