(WENY) -- Major restaurant chain Applebee's will be closing more than 100 locations as the company seeks to cut costs.
The announcement comes from parent company DineEquity in a report released Thursday.
A list of locations which will close down has not been specified yet.
There are a number of Applebee's in our region, including Big Flats, and Painted Post in New York, as well as one in Athens Township, Pennsylvania.
Again, there is no word on which locations will be shutting their doors.
DineEquity also owns IHOP. The report states they will also close up to 25 IHOP locations this year, as well.
