3:45 P.M. UPDATE -- Syracuse Police posted an update, stating that Destiny USA will reopen, and provided some details about the incident that forced it to close earlier Friday.
According to police, they were made aware of a specific threat to Destiny USA on Friday morning. After an investigation, a person was taken into custody without incident. Police say there is no active threat to the mall, and it will reopen.
Police did not release any further information about the person arrested, or potential charges.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Syracuse Police Department says the Destiny USA mall is temporarily closed down, due to what it's calling a "security concern."
In a post to the police department's Facebook page just before 10:30 A.M. Friday, Syracuse PD says it is working with other law enforcement to investigate a potential threat. No details regarding the nature of the threat was disclosed.
