High temperature roller-coaster for the area
Highs in the 40s mark both the end of our weekend, and the beginning of the work week. Partly cloudy skies transition to more overcast conditions later in the day.
Highs in the 40s on Monday allow for rain to fall in most of the region. The likelihood of any freezing precipitation is much less likely. Showers are possible on Tuesday but not as widespread. Skies remain overcast over the next several days even as temperatures continue to rise.
After a possible 50+ degree day Tuesday, a cold front brings an abrupt end to the warm stretch, ushering in more cold weather for the area. Rain and snow are possible on Thursday, soon to be followed by near-freezing temperatures on Thursday and Friday.
Next weekend offers more dry conditions, including temperatures in the upper 30s and intermittent sunshine.
