Williams Auto Group Asking for Donations for Annual 'Fill the Trunk Food Drive'

(WENY) -- It's that time of year again when Williams Auto Group asks for the community's help for its annual 'Fill the Trunk Food Drive.' People can head to any Williams Auto Group location in the Northern and Southern Tier to drop off non-perishable and canned goods.

"Between now and November 30th, we are accepting canned goods to be donated to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Food insecurity is such a big deal to our community and we're just trying to do our part to give back to a wonderful charity that does so much for our backyard," said Vice President of the Williams Auto Group, Dalton Williams.

Williams said people can head to any of the 18 dealerships between Elmira, Binghamton, and Sayre (PA). He also said any donation, even if it's only a dollar, it still counts towards helping those in need.

"Even if you don't have canned goods to donate, we encourage you to think about your neighbors in our community. Even donating a dollar can make a difference. Please, go out and bring some cans in. If not, please visit the Food Bank of the Southern Tier's website and [donate.] There's people who desperately need your help," said Williams.
