BATH, N.Y. (WENY) -- Two people were taken to the hospital after a school district car crashed on the highway in Bath Saturday morning.
According to the Bath Volunteer Fire Department, the call came in shortly after 8 a.m. for a rollover at the I-86 Eastbound off ramp. The fire department said the SUV is owned by the Andover Center School District came down the Eastbound off ramp, continued across West Washington Street, through the guide cables and over the embankment.
Four people were in the car, two adults and two minors, and according to authorities, they were all able to make it out of the SUV. Two people were taken to Corning Hospital for evaluation, and two people refused treatment on scene.
The fire department says the cause of the crash in unknown at this time.
