CCC Students Charged in Alleged Campus Assault

CORNING, NY (WENY) -- Five people were charged following the alleged assault of two students at Corning Community College earlier this week.

New York State Police say they responded to a report of an altercation involving students on the CCC campus Wednesday evening, where two victims reported being assaulted by multiple people outside of one of the victim's dorm room. Both assault victims were evaluated for their injuries at the scene; a male victim declined further treatment, while a female victim received additional care at Guthrie Corning Hospital.

Police say campus surveillance footage showed five men, all CCC students, going towards the victim's dorm room in Perry Hall before the incident.

All five of the suspects are charged with multiple charges, including Gang Assault. All five were taken to the Steuben County jail for CAP arraignment.

According to the Corning Community College men's basketball roster, Torres, Zachery, and Sanchez are members of the team.
