Local agencies organize locations for National Drug Take Back Day

SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. (WENY) -- Next Week, several local places are organizing drug take backs for the DEA's Nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative day.

STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y.

On October 26th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can properly dispose of your unneeded prescription meds at at the Steuben County Public Safety Building, located at 7007 Rumsey St. Ext. in Bath.

CHEMUNG COUNTY:

On October 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, you can take your unused medication to the West Elmira Volunteer Fire Department, or the Southport Volunteer Fire Department.

SCHUYLER COUNTY:

Unwanted medications, ointments, and sprays can be taken to the Tyrone Fire Department or the Odessa Fire Department on October 26th. People can also dispose of tobacco products at the Schuyler County Locations.
