CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- Guthrie's annual fundraising gala to raise funds for emergency medicine at the hospital network raised $363,000, according to Guthrie.

The money will go towards enhancing life saving programs, help the hospital buy medical equipment, and train emergency health care workers.

“Last year, our emergency departments managed an impressive 145,500 visits, a testament to our commitment to ensuring that every individual in our 12-county service area receives the care they need, when they need it,” said Dr. Edmund Sabanegh, President and CEO of the Guthrie Clinic. “These efforts reinforce the promise we made to deliver exceptional health care – and in our emergency departments, we deliver this care in situations when moments matter.”

The Guthrie Gala was hosted at the Corning Museum of Glass, a sold-out crowd of 450 people attended on Sept. 14. While the fundraising gala is over, donations are still being accepted here.
