Ithaca pair arrested after allegedly stealing over $50,000 worth of goods

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Ithaca Police Department announced Wednesday that they arrested two people from the city for allegedly stealing over $50,000 of merchandise in multiple burglaries over several months.

Police say the pair allegedly stole from multiple businesses in Ithaca in July, August and September. IPD say they recovered over $50,000 worth of stolen goods and an illegal handgun through a search warrant executed at the pairs home on First St on Sept. 19.

According to police, officers arrested Isaiah Foster, 23, and Mariah Rose, 26, after they turned themselves in on Sept. 27. Foster is charged with three counts of Burglary, two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Rose is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Foster is in the Tompkins County Jail on $20,000 cash bail. Rose is in jail on $1,000 cash bail, according to law enforcement.
