Hornell man arrested on arson charge after fire on Ransom St.

HORNELL, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Hornell Police department have arrested a Hornell man on arson and other charges after allegedly starting a fire inside a vacant apartment in the city.

According to police, the fire started in the rear apartment of a building on Ransom St. around 3 p.m. Thursday. Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set, after the blaze was extinguished.

Police arrested 27-year-old Denzel Brantley for Arson and two counts of Reckless Endangerment Monday. He is in CAP court awaiting arraignment.

No one was hurt in the fire.
