During the hearing that led to the license revocation, the park's leadership was notably absent. Town Supervisor Joe Roman had previously explained that the hearing for the park's owners to address their noncompliance issues, but their absence added to complications.

The park has accumulated multiple violations including failure to demolish three condemned units, lack of an onsite property manager, and the failure to perform quarterly reviews of the property. Despite, the orders posted on the property and discussed in August, only one tenant was seen moving out on Thursday. Thirteen residents are still living in six units on the property.

Tom Aber, a Southport Resident spoke with WENY News and shared he recently put in a bid for the property.

"Well, because they have walked away from its abandoned property. So rather than waiting for it to go to property taxes and go through all that, I figured I'd just cut to the chase, because they still are the owners, even though they walk away. They still own it. So I reached out, made an offer, and hopefully cover some of their costs and the property is going to be," says Aber.

The next steps for Cherry Lane Park remain unclear.

"With the progress of this whole thing for three years, I would think that Southport, after seeing that continuously, Cherry Lane Park broke all three agreements they didn't abide by the terms of any one of the agreements," says Tina Moore, Southport Resident. "I would think Southport already has a plan in place of what to do next, but as I've seen this from month to month for three years, I honestly don't think they do."

WENY News attempted to contact Town Supervisor Joe Roman for clarification on the future of the park, but he has yet to respond. A town official confirmed that Roman is aware of WENY's request for information.

It is also uncertain whether the mobile home park will appear on the Town Board's agenda for the September 10th meeting. The agenda will be released to the public on Friday, September 6th.
