WELLS TOWNSHIP, PA (WENY) -- A fire destroyed a home in Bradford County late Tuesday night, sending several people to the hospital.

Fire crews were called out to a working structure fire around 9:30PM Wednesday, at a home on Roaring Run Road Wells Township. According to the Millerton Fire Company, there were several victims in need of medical attention as multiple fire crews worked to put out the fire. The fire department says nine patients were treated on the scene before being taken to the hospital by South Creek Ambulance, Western Alliance and Erway Ambulance. The extent of their injuries and conditions were not reported.

According to the department, fire crews were on scene until about 2:30AM on Wednesday. In addition to Millerton FD, other responding fire departments included South Creek Fire Department in Gillett, as well as Pine City, and Webb Mills fire departments in Chemung County. 

The cause of the fire, if known, was not made available.
