NASCAR Cup Series Regular Season Champion Tyler Reddick meets fans at Watkins Glen Tops
WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- NASCAR fans got another opportunity to meet one of the driver's competing this weekend in Watkins Glen, just down the road in the village itself.
Regular season champion Tyler Reddick signed autographs for fans at the Tops on Franklin Street in the south of the village. There was a line out the door that stretched down across the storefront.
Reddick signed diecast cars, checkered flags, posters, and even cans of Monster Energy. On Sunday, Reddick will be sporting a special paint scheme from his sponsor Monster Energy, which unveiled its line of Beast Unleashed alcoholic beverages.
"There's a lot of really passionate racing fans, I feel like up in the Northeast of this country. So it's just really, really cool to be able to come out and do something like this. Sign some autographs for the fans, get to meet some old, familiar faces and some new fans as well," said Reddick, "I think for us, this is a place that we haven't been the best at, but nonetheless, I think when we go to road courses, we're one of the most consistent teams on that front."
Reddick is excited to be back in the area for this weekend, and hoping to continue the season's success. He will drive the #45 Beast Unleashed Toyota Camry for 23XI Racing in Sunday's Cup Series race, where he is currently fourth in the playoff point standings.
