Missing Corning resident found dead in Town of Hornby

HORNBY, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Steuben County Sheriff's Office is investigating following the death of a missing Corning woman after she was found in the Town of Hornby. According to the sheriff's office, she was found on Tuesday, November 7th, at around 11:00 a.m..
Police reported to the scene in order to protect evidence and investigate the area. The cause of death has not yet been announced, police are referring to the death as unattended.
The deceased woman's identity has not been released, however police say that an autopsy was ordered and that an investigation is currently ongoing.
