Fire causes severe damage to home in Spencer

SPENCER, N.Y. (WENY)-- Multiple fire crews responded to a house fire in Spencer this afternoon.
The calls came in from the homeowner Officials tell our reporter on the scene, for smoke and fire at the back of the house just after 5:30 pm Sunday.
When crews arrived they say the backside of the two-level home at 45 Guiles Rd was filled with fire and smoke.
Dozens of fire firefighters battled the blaze and several EMS emergency responders were on the scene as well.
Spencer, Candor, Van Etten Community Fire and Rescue, and West Danby all assisted with putting out the blaze.
The fire caused severe damage to the side of the home. At this time we do not know if there are any injuries.
