SOUTHPORT, NY (WENY) -- A accident involving a tractor trailer caused the semi to lose its load Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened a little before 4 P.M. Tuesday, at the intersection of Clemens Center Parkway and Cedar Street. Emergency calls initially came in for a rollover accident with entrapment. 

WENY's reporter on scene could see a tractor trailer with an open bed, tipped over onto its passenger side. Part of the truck's load had spilled. 

Fire crews and tow trucks are on scene working to clean up the area and remove the tractor trailer. There's no word at this time on if the driver or anyone else was injured.

Travel in the area should expect delays.
