Woodworking Business Destroyed In Fire On ELK Road In Mansfield
MANSFIELD, PA (WENY)-- Sunday evening Mansfield Fire Department, was called to North Country Woodworking at 9646 North Elk Run Road for a massive fire. The fire started at about 5:30 pm. According to fire officials, the first officer on the scene found heavy fire conditions on the back northwest corner and flames going through the roof of the building.
Several additional Fire departments in Tiago County were dispatched to assist in battling the flames including the Millerton Ladder Truck.
“We hit second alarm for tanker supplies since there is no water source in this area, said Shawn Forrest, Second Chief of Mansfield Hose Company.
It took firefighters a little over two hours to get the fire under control. No injuries were reported and there was no one in the building at the time of the fire.
Fire investigators are trying to determine what started the fire.
“At this point, we are under investigation and the Fire Marshall has been called in to assist with this investigation, said Forrest.”
