One Person Dead And One Person Injured in Crash in Osceola

OSCEOLA, P.A. (WENY) — One person is dead and one person is injured as the result of a one-vehicle crash in the Township of Osceola.
The fatal accident happened around 5:30 p.m. between the Merrick Hill Road and Locey Creek Road intersection along Route 49.
According to police scanners, the diver went off the road and hit a tree. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene and the passenger was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
The road was closed off to traffic shortly after the accident. As of 8 p.m., the area of 6788 along Route 49 remains closed.
